- Sneeze
Sneezing, also known as sternutation, is the act of releasing a blast of uncontrolled air via the lips and nostrils. The function of sneezing is to expel mucus containing extraneous particles or irritants and cleanse the nasal cavity.
A sneeze or sternutation is a semi-autonomous, convulsive expulsion of air from the lungs through the nose and mouth, usually caused by peripheral particles irritating the nasal mucosa. A sneeze expels air forcibly from the mouth and nose in an explosive, spasmodic and involuntary action resulting mainly from irritation of the nasal mucous membrane.
Sneezing is possibly linked to sudden exposure to bright light, sudden change (fall) in temperature, breeze of cold air, a particularly full stomach or viral infection and it can be contagious.
While we tend to associate the nose and mouth with the execution of sneeze, the process actually involves a great deal of other organs found in the upper body that creates a response in the muscle found in the chest, throat and face.
Sternutation cannot occur when sleeping owing to REM (Rapid Eye Movement) a condition in which the brain turns off input to vast muscle groups during REM. Thus, sneezing as defined here only occurs while we are awake.
While this symptom may be bothersome at times, it is generally not the consequence of a severe health issue.
If you sneeze more often than usual and you suspect that your sneezing could be caused by allergies or an infection, you and your doctor may collaborate to address the underlying cause of your sneeze and get rid of it.
Once medical treatment has begun, you might consider beginning professional Chakra Therapy to enhance and speed up recovery while providing holistic and ultimate healing of whatever physical or metaphysical underlying cause of it.
Chakra Therapy is a unique technique to open the blocked Chakras in the body and treat the ailments caused by these blockages. Chakra Therapy is an alternative therapy that does not have any side effects and treats not only the disease but transforms the affected individual to find their purpose in life and face it with renewed energy and vigor.
Chakra therapy opens Anahata Chakra and with the resulting restored energy and vitality the individual can counteract sneezing by solving what is causing it.
Sneezing is associated with the Heart Chakra or Anahata Chakra, which governs sensitivity and feelings. A person, who is internally sensitive to outside situations and people; or becomes dependent on any object or when the object becomes dependent on them leads to various heart conditions.
Anahata Chakra regulates the breath which is related to the heart. Heart conditions also occur when a person’s emotions are not in check. To open this Chakra, one must realize the feelings of grief and fear and heal them. This chakra is associated with the emotional aspects of heart like affection, compassion, devotion, trust and harmony in relationships.
Once Anahata chakra is balanced or energized, sneezing starts to fade away.
Sneezing is an involuntary healthy body action to get rid of unwanted substances on the body which can be spiritually related to the unconscious motivation of getting rid of anything contaminated around us. Thus, people sneeze when in large crowds while surrounded by all types of energies, or it can be also triggered by a ‘polluted’ thought or emotion while being alone.
It was a widespread belief in Indian culture, particularly in northern India, Bengali (Bangladesh and Bengal of India) culture, and also in Iran, that a sneeze occurring before the commencement of any task was a portent of coming unpleasant interruption. It was therefore usual to stop to sip water or interrupt any labor rhythm before continuing the task at hand in order to avoid disaster.
Wherever or whenever it happens, sneezing carries the meaning of elimination and purification of something that is against our nature and wellbeing. Hence, throwing out it from our system prevents any harmful upshots.
